Frequently asked questions
- Does it handle daylight saving time?
- Yes. The converter uses each region's real time zone rules, so daylight saving shifts are applied automatically for the date you pick. Converting a summer date and a winter date between the same two cities can therefore differ by an hour.
- Why is the date on the other side sometimes different?
- When two cities are far apart, a time in one can fall on the previous or next calendar day in the other. The tool shows the correct date alongside the time so you never book the wrong day.
- Which time is the conversion based on?
- It converts the exact date and time you enter in the “from” city into the equivalent instant in the “to” city. The “Use current time” button fills in the current time in your chosen from-zone.
- Can I use it to find a good meeting time across zones?
